Dan Pinchbeck is a British video game designer, writer, and academic. He is the co-founder of the game development studio, The Chinese Room, which is based in Brighton, England. Pinchbeck has worked on various video game projects, including Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. He has also written several books on game design and game studies and is a professor at the University of Portsmouth where he teaches game design. Additionally, Pinchbeck has been a vocal advocate for increased diversity and inclusivity in the video game industry.
